I was born and raised in Orlando, FL by my mother & father with support from my grandmother. As the daughter of a minister and a union leader, my faith has always merged with the idea of a just world.
I’ve been consistently devoted to serving and connecting with people on a state, local, national and international level for over 15 years as a community organizer, public speaker, activist, trainer, and missionary. After having worked for a number of government, civic, community and religious organizations, as well as serving on multiple organizational boards and committees to build the progressive movement in Florida and develop community leaders across the state, I answered the call to seminary in order to prepare for a life in ministry.
My passion for community and the gospel led me to Princeton Theological Seminary as a Master of Divinity student. Dedicated to more deeply studying and applying God’s word, I’ve treasured the opportunity to discover and create new and exciting ways to serve at the intersection of Faith, Healing and Justice.
I serve as a licensed minister in the American Baptist Churches USA. I’m the Founder and Lead Strategist at FHJ Strategies, where I provide strategic organizational consulting from the intersection of Faith, Healing and Justice.
